Really. No one does. Jesus and I set out recently to help make the obligatory “look at my feet against the sky/ocean/broken sidewalk/grassy field” pictures cliche, so maybe people will stop taking them. Or at least maybe they’ll start taking them ironically.

Issue 1 of Cram Magazine Announced!

We’ve finally published issue 1 of Cram Magazine! Go here to check out the official announcement.

We are incredibly happy to finally announce the release of Cram Magazine, Volume 1 Issue 1. It’s been a long time coming, and we’ve learned a lot along the way, and we hope that you’ll get as much out of reading it as we have out of putting it together.

We’ve met some very talented creatives along our journey, and want to thank you all for sharing your craft with us. Our Staff and Contributors page has been updated to showcase the many wonderful people who helped us populate Cram with such brainy, artsy goodness.

Unfortunately, due to lack of financial backing, we will not be able to print the magazine this time around. However, it is available for viewing and download through Issuu. We would like to print Issue 2, and are currently working on fundraising to make that happen.

Thank you again for your creativity and support! Keep Cramming!

Not sure if you knew, but Gilbert Godfried got canned as the voice of the Aflac duck. So they found a new one. Who on earth has the voice to take over for ol Gilbert? This guy:

Google Art Project

Ok, so I’m a little behind the 8 ball on this one…

Google is doing for art what Project Gutenberg did for books – making the classics that reside in museums accessible to the public through the power of the internet. Art Project allows users to view museums and galleries from around the world, even allowing you to zoom in on paintings. I can’t even begin to explain how much of a dent this is going to put in my general productivity…

Users can navigate the rooms with the same ease as the street navigation on Google Maps – which is to say, not a whole lot of ease, but it works.

The only downer about this whole thing is that currently, only a few sections of each museum are open for viewing. And that’s really not a downer at all, because it’s still awesome, and I’m assuming that soon we’ll be able to view more sections of more museums!

In other news, I wanted to stick a blurb in here about Cram Magazine. As I’ve said before, it’s a project that I’ve been working on with Jesus. We’ve extended the submission deadline to January 31st, and I know a lot of you are super creative and talented, and have not yet submit your work to Cram. We’ve gotten some amazing submissions, and are looking forward to even more. Help us make our first issue completely awesome and inspirational – check out this page for submission information.
